Aim for 40% or less of sugar in the diet

Investigations into the relationship between eating habits and diabetes and Alzheimer's disease are underway.

For example, between 1990 and 2010, the incidence of diabetic complications in the United States declined rapidly. The background was that the intake of sugar was reduced.

Sugar is a nutrient that is abundant in cereals, potatoes, sugar, fruits, etc.

In this study, people who had a 50% sugar diet before becoming diabetic were instructed to reduce it to 40%, and the number of people who died of acute myocardial infarction dropped sharply to -67.8%. Lower limb amputation is -51.4%.

This effect was obtained only by reducing the sugar by 10%. 😮

Eventually, the University of Tokyo Hospital in Japan began to introduce a low-carbohydrate diet with 40% sugar in April 2015.

In Japan Hisayama shows a relationship between eating habits and Alzheimer's disease, diabetes (Hisayama) there is a thing called research.

This was done for residents aged 40 and over in Hisayama Town, Fukuoka Prefecture.

From 1985 to 2012, five surveys were conducted on elderly people aged 65 and over . Then, the number of people with dementia increased about three times. 60% of them had Alzheimer's disease. In addition, considering Alzheimer's disease alone, the number of patients has increased by about 9 times.

The reason for this happening was that the number of diabetic patients had increased significantly in Hisayama Town.

The proliferation of diabetics here lies in the food culture of the town. Hisayama Town encouraged residents to eat a calorie-restricted diet (conventional diabetic diet) as a measure against diabetes.

A diabetic diet is a diet that is taught to diabetics as a diet. Instruct them to eat a diet of 60% sugar, 20% protein, and 20% fat. Therefore, sugar occupies more than half of it. As a result of continuing this balanced diet, the number of diabetic patients has increased dramatically in Hisayama Town. In other words, eating 60% sugar in the diet is dangerous.

People with diabetes are more susceptible to Alzheimer's disease, and the findings support this.

Too much sugar is dangerous for modern people, who are flooded with trains and cars and have less physical activity on a daily basis.

In this way, it is becoming clear that taking sugar in daily dietary habits leads to diabetes and Alzheimer's disease. From this survey result, it is recommended to keep the amount of sugar in the diet to 40% or less .
