When you go to sleep, your brain cells shrink to create a path that allows cerebrospinal fluid to quickly get rid of brain debris. Sleep changes the flow in the brain. In other words, neglecting sleep is an unnatural act for the body.
Studies have shown that brain cleaning is done during sleep.
Presentation by Dutch research team Jürgen Klassen.
"If you get enough sleep, the amount of amyloid 8 after waking up is 6% less than before bedtime. Amyloid B will accumulate even if you don't stay up all night, even if you have a little sleep deprivation."
The following research results by Jun Lo, National University of Singapore School of Medicine, have also been reported on the relationship between sleep and brain aging .
"If you sleep an hour shorter, the gaps in your brain increase by 0.6% each year, and cognitive function declines by 0.8% each year. In this study, sleep time in healthy older people. It was found that a short period of time was associated with aging of the brain and deterioration of cognitive function. "
Although it is not yet conclusive , research results show that amyloid B begins to accumulate 2-3 years before the onset of dementia, and suddenly begins to accumulate when sleep deprivation occurs in the 40s .
Intracerebral images by sleep time showed that amyloid B deposition was clearly progressing when sleeping for 6 hours or less. Sleeping habits from the 40s are the key to whether or not you will have dementia in the future . Everyone, let's have the right knowledge and build a good lifestyle.
